Wagering Calculator
This wagering calculator turns any casino bonus into the total bets you need, the fewest spins at max bet and the average loss at your game’s RTP.
Price a casino bonus
Pick a casino offer to load its terms, or type your own deposit, match, cap, wagering and max bet. The result shows the total bets, the fewest spins at max bet, the bets per dollar of bonus and the average loss at the RTP you set.
An offer under 40 bets per dollar is fair for steady slot play, while one above 70 costs more on average than it pays.
How the wagering calculator works
- BonusDeposit × match %, up to the cap, or the fixed amount of a no deposit offer.
- TurnoverWagering x × bonus, or × (bonus + deposit), divided by the game’s contribution.
- Fewest betsTurnover ÷ max bet, rounded up to whole spins or hands.
- Average lossTurnover × (100% − RTP); expected value is the bonus minus that loss.
A 100% match on a $100 deposit with 35x bonus wagering needs $3,500 in slot bets, about 700 spins at a $5 max bet. At 96% RTP that play loses $140 on average, so the bonus is worth roughly −$40 before any max cashout.
| Game type | Typical contribution | Bets for 1,000 of wagering |

| Video poker | 10–20% | 5,000 to 10,000 |
| Table and live games | 10% | 10,000 |
| Jackpot slots, bingo | 0% | Not counted |
Common questions
How is the wagering requirement calculated?
Multiply the wagering figure by what it applies to. 40x a $200 bonus is $8,000 in bets; 40x bonus plus deposit on a $200 deposit is $16,000. Games that count 10% need 10 times as much play.
What does the average loss figure mean?
It is the bets you place multiplied by the house edge. At 96% RTP, $10,000 of slot play loses about $400 on average. The bonus is worth taking only when it is bigger than that.
Why does the max bet matter?
Bets above the max bet can void the bonus, and it also sets the fewest spins you need. $8,000 of wagering at a $5 max bet takes at least 1,600 spins.
What is a good wagering requirement?
Up to 40 bets per dollar of bonus is fair, and up to 25 is good. Above 70, the average loss is larger than the bonus at a normal slot RTP.
Do free spins winnings have wagering?
Usually yes. Spin winnings land as bonus money with their own wagering, often 30x to 40x, so enter the spin winnings as a fixed bonus to price them.
What does a max cashout do to a bonus?
It caps what you can withdraw from the bonus, so any win above the cap is removed. A cap of 10x the bonus is common on free offers and lowers their expected value.
